There are many year round activities, events and cultural festivals in the Berea commuinity. The City of Berea Recreation host many activities around Coe Lake and in their facilities as well as the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds host the county fair and seasonal events. Berea's National Rib Cookoff & Beerfest the signature event for Berea’s City Club, which raises funds to support the Berea Community. This national rib cookoff attachts some of the best barbeque cooker in the nation. Enjoy great barbeque, music and activites for the family.

Berea Parks & Recreation Events organizes many events in the city of Berea, including the Grindstone Festival, Live at the Lake Concerts, Harvest Festial and the Jack Frost Festival. Enjoy movie nights at the Coe Lake during the summer and fall. These family friendly events are free.

Berea Swimming Pools are available to the community. There is an outdoor swiming pool near Coe Lake and an indoor pool at the Berea Recreation Center. Both swimming pools have seasonal swimming / passes and swiming intructional programs.

Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is a world class zoo located 12 miles away in Cleveland. The zoo has year round events and exhibits, with the primary period May through October. Enjoy their cultural events and educational opportunities.

Dyngus Day Festival is a Polish tradition celebrating the end of the observance of Lent and the joy of Easter. German Central is a German-American Cultural center located in Parma. The center has monthly dances, Oktoberfest, fish fries during Lent, Zumba classess, chess club, Wednesday fun nights, Thursday line dancing and more. All of these events are open to the public and their facilities are available for event rentals. The dances are held two Saturdays every month with well-known bands.

Go Ape an treetop activity and outdoor adventure center in the Cleveland Metroparks Mill Streem Run Reservation. Enjoy ziplines, treetop bridges, a forest escape adventure and hatchet throwing.

Tobaggan Chutes at the Chalet are twin 700-foot refrigerated ice chutes that operate with or without snow from the end of November through late February, weather permitting. As long as the ait temperature is below ?, they can maintain ice on the chutes! Enjoy the thrill of riding down a hill on a sheet of ice!
